In the wake of pandemic-induced sports restrictions, the fitness landscape saw a dramatic shift towards home workouts. Recognizing the limitations of conventional home gym equipment, Daniel De Burgos Bengoechea embarked on a mission to create a singular solution that would encapsulate the functions of multiple devices. The result is the Slide Roller Pro, a multifunctional fitness apparatus designed to enhance exercise possibilities within the comfort of one's home.
The Slide Roller Pro distinguishes itself through its patented "all in one" design, capable of replacing up to 15 traditional fitness tools. This innovation is not only a triumph in space-saving but also in versatility, catering to a wide array of fitness needs from muscle development to injury rehabilitation. Its unique multi-grip feature offers over 20 gripping options, ensuring ergonomic support and a broad spectrum of exercises to users of all fitness levels.
From initial pencil sketches to 3D modeling, the Slide Roller Pro's journey to realization was a meticulous process. The prototype, crafted from durable materials like aluminum, foam, and stainless steel, with interchangeable silicone grips, proved to be both safe and effective. Measuring 125cm in length with a 15cm diameter and weighing 5kg, the device is designed for easy storage and portability, making it an ideal addition to any home gym.
The Slide Roller Pro's design facilitates a comprehensive workout experience, activating multiple muscle groups, enhancing flexibility, and aiding in muscle recovery. Its thoughtful construction also minimizes injury risk, making it a valuable tool for physical rehabilitation. Compatible with various fitness disciplines, it stands as a testament to the fusion of aesthetics and utility in modern fitness equipment.
Developed in Bilbao, Spain, the Slide Roller Pro's conception began in April 2020, with a prototype ready by February 2021. Its effectiveness and design excellence were recognized at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, where it was awarded the gold medal. In 2024, the Slide Roller Pro continued to garner recognition, securing the Iron in A' Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design Award for its well-designed, practical, and innovative qualities.
With its patented design, the Slide Roller Pro, holding patent no ES2894339, is a protected innovation under the name of Daniel De Burgos. As a multifunctional, ergonomic, and aesthetically pleasing device, it not only represents a significant advancement in home fitness but also exemplifies the potential for design to transform lifestyle and well-being.
